Chinese way of living of five tastes & four natures–
As the popularity of the Chinese way of living is increasing, more and more people pay attention to the Chinese way of cooking.
According to Chinese medicine, there are five tastes in food “sour, sweet, bitter, pungent, and salty”. Likely, the four natures” cold, hot, warm, cool” also commerge with Chinese living style. It’s the five tastes that decide the theraphy of food and a certain kind of medicine to your body. For example, ”the pungent can promote circulation and supplement the center and boost the energy, which is the reason why so many people are crazy about the pungent food; the bitter help open the blocked canters ,promote healthy bowel movement; the sour can accumulate energy; the salty does good to ease pressure.
On the other hand ,the four natures make an effect on the therapy by controlling each other .Based on theories of Chinese medicine , the body being an organic whole, if certain part of it breaks down, thus the entire body would immediately become unbalanced ,which ultimately results in people falling sick.
